CARS COLLIDE HEAD ON
Family Of Five Injured (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. July 24. A family of five was injured in a head on collision in Mount Albert road, Auckland, at 5.5 p.m. on Saturday. All were taken to the casualty department of Green Lane Hospital. Those admitted to hospital were: Mr Royce Stanley Cleal, aged 39, of 49 Epping street, Glen Innes, with fractured ribs and lacerations; Mrs Cleal, who suffered concussion; Robert Cleal, aged 9, with concussion. The condition of Mr and Mrs Cleal is satisfactory. Robert was transferred to Auckland Hospital and he is reported to be "fairly sick.”
Two other children, Desmond, aged 12, and Judith Ann, aged 7, both of whom suffered shock, were sent home on Saturday night. The accident occurred on a curve in Mount Albert road. The driver of the other car and a passenger were not injured.
