Dr. J. O. Mercer has been appointed a member of the Medical Research Council on the nomination of the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association for a term of four years.—(PA.)
Mr H. E. Wright has been elected vice-president of the Automotive Institute of Engineers of New Zealand. He is officer in charge of explosives and dangerous goods for the Christchurch City Council. Mr T. G. Lee has been appointed a member of the Little River Domain Board. He replaces Mr W. G. Chappell, who has resigned. Mr T. P. Robinson has been appointed an additional member of the board.
