Black Spots
Whenever a road accident occurs in New Zealand, its l° c a u °“ is marked with a black spot on maps of the Transport department. When there is a buil £-"P of accidents in one place, remedial measures are recommended. Last year 447 cases (such as restricted visibility, lack of suit- *£ the other cases no action was considered warranted or they are still under consideration.
