TWO AGRICULTURAL ADVISERS, Manjimup and Margaret river, WESTERN AUSTRALIA. APPLICATIONS are called for Two Farm Advisers, one to each of two groups of about 50 farmers, at Manjimup and at Mar?aret river. These farmers have ormed themselves into clubs for the improvement management of their farms. Both towns are about 180 miles South of Perth, with a 35-45-inch rainfall. . 1. Margaret river—farming is dairying with pigs and beef as sidelines. 2. Manjimup—(a) Horticultural: tobacco, orchards, potatoes, with irrigation used extensively. (b) Stock: dairying, beef and fat lambs. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Appointment for period of three years, with subsequent reappointment and advancement subject to satisfactory service. Commencing salary £l9OO-£2500 per annum, plus superannuation. Appointment within range dependant upon qualifications and experience. Three weeks’ annual leave, car mileage at Government rates. Minimum first-class rail or sea fares paid to successful applicant and wife and for children under 18. Assistance to purchase car given if necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Agricultural Science or equivalent, knowledge of Agricultural Economics, experience in Farm Advisory work.
