Sharemarket Buoyant After Budget
Share prices were buoyant in New Zealand trading yesterday. In Christchurch, 10 rises were recorded, and only one fall. Breweries’ shares were steady. Frozen meat, gas, textiles and N.Z. industrials were firmer.
Alliance Textiles were 6d up at 15s 6d. Bing Harris A shares had first business as 5s units, selling in Wellington at 8s 9d.
Denhard Bakeries sold in Wellington at 46s 6d, 6d above the Georsre Weston (N.Z.I offer.
