Students And Police Fight (Rec. 10:30 p.m.) ’ TOKYO, July 22. Police said today that 35 students and policemen were injured this morning in hand-to-hand fighting at Omuta, southern Japan. Police said during the demonstration that the group of students launched an attack against the police ranks. Fierce fighting developed before the students were forced back. Twenty-four students and three coalminers who threw sand at the police were detained.
