Racing RICH IRISH DERBY
Sydney Colts May Start (NJ!. Press Association —Copyright) SYDNEY. July 21. A well-known Sydney breeder, Mr George Ryder, has made tentative plans to start two Australian-bred colts in the rich Irish Derby in 1963. The two colts, foals at present, are at Woodlands Stud and were bred especially to Northern Hemisphere time. They are the first progeny of the imported stallion, Pipe of Peace, which was a top English galloper. The colts are owned jointly by the Woodlands Stud and the American professional tennis promoter. Jack Kramer. “We are going to do everything possible to get a runner in the Irish Derby,” Mr Ryder said.
