ALTERATION OF ELECTRICITY CHARGES THE CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL hereby gives one month’s notice that as from the 20th day of July 1960 the former respective rates will be cancelled and charges for electrical energy will be altered to the following rates (hi brief): — The gross charges at which the Department undertakes to give electrical supply are based on the unit rate in force from time to time, plus 2d in the shilling. This latter part of the gross charge (2a in the 1/-) will be allowed as discount if the account is paid within fifteen days of the meter reading date; 1. DOMESTIC RATE: Disconnection fee; 10/-. Reconnection fee: 10/-. Special reading of the meter fee: 10/-. Lighting utility points, cooking, and water heating only on ripple control and In compliance with specifications:— a. First 26 units per month at 3d per unit. Next 335 units per month at .93d per unit. Balance of units at .7d per unit. Uncontrolled water heating separately metered: 2d per unit.
