Flock And Felt Workers
A new award for flock, felt, feather and allied products workers provides for an increase of lid an hour in the wages of male workers aged 21 and over. The wages of youths are increased by 6s 3d a week. The wages of female workers under 21 are increased by 6s 3d a week, and after 21 the increase is 6s a week. The new rates incorporate the Arbitration Court’s 24 per cent general order. These new rates are deemed to have come into force on the first day of the working week after May 30 The other provisions of the award came into force on July 15. The award embodies the terms of settlement reached in Conciliation Council.
