CONVERSION OF JEWS
Former German Judge Plans N.Z. Campaign (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 21. A former German judge. Dr. A. P. Michaelson, has arrived in New Zealand with plans for developing a preaching campaign to convert Jews to Christianity. A Jew himself, Dr. Michaelson is the founder and pastor of the Hebrew Evangelisation Society. Incorporated, which aims to brine, both Jews and Gentiles to a belief in a second material appearance of Jesus Christ. "The Jews must learn to accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah," the elderly doctor said in Auckland today. “In that way anti-semitism can be defeated and Jews and Gentiles can live side by side in complete peace and unity.” Dr. Michaelson heads a 100,000strong international organisation which has its strongest following in the United States. He has just visited Australia to inspect thf work of his missionaries there. He said there were no missionaries or adherents in New Zealand at present, “but there are about 150 ’friends' and person* interested in bringing Christ to the Jews.”
