GOLFERS PREPARE FOR TASMAN CUP

The Australian women golfers who competed in the 1959 Commonwealth tournament in England are making an all-out effort to gain places in the Australian team to compete against New Zealand for the Tasman Cup this year, the Sydney “Daily Mirror” women’s sports columnist said. The Australian. golfers who toured abroad in 1959 were P. Borthwick and M. Mair (New South Wales), J. Fletcher (Queensland) and B. Cheney and M. Masters from Victoria.
