TOWN PLANNING REGULATIONS
Changes Gazetted (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 21. Regulations gazetted tonight consolidate and amend the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and Country Planning Regulations Amendment No. 1 and take into account the amendments of the principal act made by the Town and Country Planning Amendment Act, 1957. Important changes effected by the regulations are: requirements as to planning data and maps have been modified, allowing wider discretion generally; greater emphasis is placed upon development by predetermined stages; provisions are included for variations of the departures from district schemes; procedure is prescribed for delegation of powers to councils; and forms prescribed in the schedules have been revised and added to.
