TELEPHONE WIRES DISAPPEARED
z Two Men Arrested MELBOURNE, July 21. Police alleged yesterday that a rubber glove gang has stolen £lO.OOO worth of Post Office telephone wires. They sprang a trap on Tuesday night and detained a radio truck and two men.
Police said they seized 4800 yards of wire. Nearly 80 miles of copper telephone wire, worth £lO 000. has disappeared from poles.
