Early Start For Dr. Moore
SYDNEY, July 21. The British marathon walker, Dr. Barbara Moore, left Junee, 25 miles north of Wagga, early this morning in an attempt to walk 50 miles before nightfall. She is making an "extra effort” tc try to make up time lost through rain, cold and her injured ankle, in her 400-mile walk from, Albury, New South Wales, to Blacktown, a Sydney suburb. Dr. Moore gave up her walk yesterday at Junee and complained that of her feet "was almost raw." She had covered only 25 miles, and spent the night at a local “pub.”
