TRAINING SHIP FROM JAPAN
Voyage From Tokyo To Wellington (New Zealahd Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 21. The Japanese Government’s training ship,' Taisei Maru, will arrive in Wellington tomorrow morning after a voyage from Tokyo. The ship,owned by the Ministry of Transportation, will berth at Queen’s wharf shortly after 10 a.m. and will stay here for about a week. The Taisei Maru is an auxiliary sailing ship, and is powered by two steam turbines. Of 2430 tons, she is commanded by Captain G. Tanaka, and is carrying 39 engine-room and 45 navigation cadets from the Mercantile University. The ship will not call at any other New Zealand ports.
