RIBOT AT U.S. STUD
Duty For Next Five Years
Ribot, the Italian-bred “wonder horse," is at present in the United States where he will do stud duty for the next five years at J. W. Galbreath’s Darby Dan Farm in Lexington, Kentucky. Ribot, an eight-year-old son of Tenerani and Rbmanella, was retired from racing with a record of 16 victories from 16 starts. He beat the best in Italy. Franc® and England. Among his victories were those in the Prix de I’Arc de Triomphe (twice) and the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. His second win in the Arc de Triomphe was against an international field that included the Ameri-can-bred Fisherman and Career Boy. Ribot arrived in the United States last month, Galbreath has contracted to pay his owners, the Razzo Dormello Olglata Corporation, 1,350,000 dollars for the five-year breeding service.
