Broadcasts From House
The nation would be better off without the broadcasting of Parliament, said Mr J. T. Watts, MP., when speaking at a luncheon of the Khandallah branch of the National Party yesterday. Mr Watts said that for many years he was in favour of broadcasting Barliament'because he believed it brought the public closer to Parliament “Now I think it gives the IHiWfc—a wrong impression,” he said. This ne attributed partly to the way the microphones were placed and the tendency of member to talk to the microphone and not to the House.—(P.A.)
