Courtesy Flights In Electra
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 12. More than 300 persons flew in a jet-prop Electra aircraft today as guests of Tasman Empire Airways. The airliner made five flights from Wellington airport over the 'Cook Strait area, carrying members of the Diplomatic Corps, Cabinet Ministers and members of Parliament, civic heads and commercial representatives. as well as press and radio epresen tatives. T.E.A.L.’s Sydney-Wellington Electra service starts on July 26.
