Post-Primary Enrolments

Sir,—l agree with “Wondering Parent.’’ We could have a fine secondary school system in rural areas if country parents sent thenchildren to the local schools. Many city schools have no room for some city children, who must therefore attend one of the newlydeveloped schools. Third form country pupils should be treated in just the same way, if they have a local school in their area. When we consider there is not one fully developed secondary school in the area between Rangiora and Blenheim it is time something was done.—Yours, etc., E.H. Hawarden, July 5, 1960.
