Society “Extremely Happy”
(New Zealand Press Association, WELLINGTON. July 6. The Plunket Society was extremely happy to receive assurances that the society would be able to continue and expand its work to meet the needs of the mothers and babies of New Zealand, said the Dominion president of the society (Mrs H. J. Byburn), commenting on today’s statement by the Prime Minister (Mr Nash). “We also appreciate the steps taken by the Government in line with the recommendations of the Finlay committee to secure the future of the Karitane hospitals," she said.
