Sir,—Miss Howard is to be commended for her stand in defending the privacy of old persons from prying interference in personal ■matters by statisticians seeking information. It is no laughing matter. I am glad that Miss Howard recognises the existence of the soul and its relationship to finer feelings and susceptibilities. Inner reserve or reticence is related to the physical environment of a human body, old or young.—Yours, etc, HOME SANCTUARY. July 6, 1960.
