Organisation’s Thanks For Help
“The appeal of a suffering child goes to the heart of every normal human being,” said the Mayor (Mr G. Manning) at the annual meeting of the North Canterbury branch of the Save the Children Fund. The thanks of the meeting were offered to all who had contributed by voluntary service to the work of the Save the Children
Fund during the year, and to the many anonymous people who had given to the fund. Officers elected were:— President, Miss M. G. Havelaar; vice-president, Mrs G. Fairweather; executive, Mesdames M. B. Warren, R. M. Macfarlane, W. Willcox, J. Boyd, A. Dean, M. Simes, J. Frizzell, D. Spencer, K. McFadden, C. Newton.
