18-Hole Matches Continued The six teams with byes during the season played an additional round in the Canterbury District Ladies' Golf Association 18-hole competition this week. The games were all played at Avondale. Results were:— Rangiora v. Chatteris Bay Mrs A. W. Abbott (19) lost to Mrs V. G. Henderson (14), 10 holes to 5: Mrs F. G. Tolmie (21) beat Miss R. H. Blatchford (19) 5 to 4; Mrs F. Anderson (27) beat Mrs H. C. Smart (20), 7 to 5; Mrs J. Reed (27) lost to Mrs A. Manson (25), 7 to 6; Mrs J. Cooke (32) lost to Mrs M. Allan (27), 5 to 4; Mrs J. Cox (35) lost to Mrs A. H. Martin (36). 7 to 6. Charteri» Bay beat Rangiora by 38 holes to 33. Templeton v. Avondale Mrs A. Downing (17) lost to Mrs W. H. Wilkins (18). 10 holes to 2; Mrs J. Hartnell (21) lost to Mrs R. Trangmar (18), 7 to 2; Mrs G. McHerron (28) lost to Mrs W. McKendry (27). 9 to 1; Mrs P. Logan (29) lost to Mrs C. Thorn (27), 5 to 4; Mrs M. Neiman (34) lost to Mrs McGarrock (29), 15 to 2; Mrs J. Thiele (36) lost to Miss M. B. Moore (32), 10 to 1. Avondale beat Templeton by 56 holes to 12. Tai Tapu v. Lincoln Mrs D. Scott (17) lost to Mrs J. Barclay (16). 6 holes to 4; Mrs R. Fiecken (20) lost to Mrs T. Creighton (26), 7 to 4; Mrs A. Scott (24) beat Mrs B. Barclay (27), 9 to 6: Mrs B Beckett (27) halved with Mrs C. Harris (32), 7 each; Mrs V. Madden (30) beat Mrs J. McGuigan (35), 8 to 7; Mrs J. Lang (35) beat Mrs A. Johnston (36), 7 to 6. Tai Tapu halved with Lincoln, 39 holes each. The position of the leading teams, with half the matches played is: Greendale 141, Avohdale 138, Charteris Bay 132, Ellesmere 128, Lincoln 123, Rawhiti 120, Rangiora 118, Russley 118, Harewood 117, Tai Tapu 115, Waimairi 113, Amberley 112.
