Junior Fire Service

The North Shore Fire Board. Auckland, proposes to start a North Shore Junior Fire Service, but it has yet to obtain approval from the Fire Services Council. The board hopes to start a group of about 20 boys aged between 13 and 17 years. '■ They would wear distinctive uniforms and after training would be drafted into either the voluntary brigade or the permanent service.
