The match lasted a day and a half and during that time 37 wickets fell for • total of 323 runs. Today D. A’Court, a' newcomer to the county side, was responsible for the tourists’ crash. He took six wickets for 25 with his well-controlled and fiery fast bowling. The Springboks’ second innings score of 49 was their lowest against a county atnee 1912. When play resumed this morning the visitors were one for 8. but they lost their last nine wickets for 41 runs. The county in turn was soon in trouble against the fast bowling of N. A. T. Adcock and at one stage was five for 37 in 75 minutes. Adcock had taken four for 17 in 10 overs. He took three wickets with seven balls. The wicket-keeper, J. H. B. Waite dropped R. B. Nicholls at a critical point and with the aid of four byes and a wide, Gloucestershire managed to scrape home to victory. Officials would not comment on the wicket, which was well grassed. Scores:
