PARLIAMENT'S DIARY
’ When Parliament resumed yesterday aftemoofi, the Leader of Opposition (Mr Holyoake) moved that the House should adjourn to discuss the Auditor-General’s report. After sometimes heated discussion which lasted more than an hour. Mr Speaker disallowed the motion. Two petitions were presented and 13 questions were asked, Ministers. The Address-in-Reply debate was then continued. Speakers were: Government: Messrs M. A. Connelly (Riccarton), F. J. Kitts (Wellington Central), R. J. Tizard (Tamaki), the Minister of Forests (Sir Eruera Tirikatene), and the Minister of Customs (Mr Boord) Opposition; Messrs D- J Carter (Raglan), J. H. George (Central Otago), R. M. Algie (Remuera) P. B. Allen (Bay of Plenty) and T. T. Murray (Stratford) The Hohse rose at . 10.30 p.m. until 930 a m today.
