CADET CENTENARY IN BRITAIN
Ten NX Boys To Attend Ten high school cadets will represent New Zealand at the centennial celebrations of the cadet forces in Britain. Five cadets will represent the Army, three the Air Force and two will be from school naval units. The boys are due to leave New Zealand next Wednesday and be away until August 23. They will travel in New Zealand and British service aircraft. Requirements for their selection included examination passes for non-commissioned rank, marksmanship with .303 service rifle, and attendance at a military training camp. Headmasters’ and parents’ approval was also a pre-requisite to selection.
Arrangements for the cadets to go to Britain were made at very ■short notiee.
