Breakfast
Sir. —Your columns advocate bread and milk for a 'change of breakfast dish. Perhaps only the very old or very young may be interested in such simple fare, but let a dessert spoon of honey and a pinch of cipnamon be heated with the milk before being added to the bread, and a spoon of wheat germ to top off before serving, and a welcome change is indeed appreciable. Some old folk prefer the hard crusts slightly scalded with hot water to soak them before the milk ’is added.—Yours, etc., SPICE OF LIFE. June 29. 1960.
