GOVERNMENT’S VIEW
Price Equal To F. 0.8. Rates
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 30. The local market issue remained the only question of difference between the Government and the dairy industry, the Minister of Agriculture (Mr Skinner) told the Dominion dairy conference in Wellington today. “I regret that it has not been possible for us to reach agreement on this subject, which is still under consideration.’’ he said. “Personally, I think the Industry should get the f.o.b. equivalent of overseas realisations for all produce exported or sold locally. That, in fact, is precisely what it is getting now.” Mr Skinner said there was room for further discussion on the subsidy and these discussions would continue.
