Mr T. P Shand, M.P., and Mrs Shand have left London on their return to New Zealand after visiting the United Sutes, Canada, and Britain. Mr Shand will break his journey at Athens and Hong Kong for discussions on the possible development of a market for New Zealand meat.— London. June 24.
Mr J. H. Parker, chairman of the Apple and Pear Board, and the assistant general manager. Mr D L Waller, will leave for London today to have talks with shipowners on New Zealand’s freight contract.—(P.A.) Mr F. W. Wyn, who has been appointed district inspector of fisheries in Auckland, joined the Marine Department in Christchurch •in 1953, and previously was district inspector in Wellington. Before he joined the department he was a commercial fisherman in Greymouth, and also worked on board a crayfishing boat in the West Coast sounds Messrs G M Deck and T. H. Ba row .(northern ward), an) Messrs A J. Matthewson and H C, Warnes (southern ward) have been elected unopposed as producers* representatives on the Nelson Raspberry Marketing
