ADULT MEMBERSHIP INCREASES
Redcliffs Public Library “This has' been the "library’s most successful year, and I wish i, every success ir. the future,” said Cr. A. S. Hollander, who presided at the annual meeting of the Redcliffs public library. Membership in the adult section rose by 37 to 214, and 895 books were bought, said the annual report. The number of books issued to adults was 26.954 and to children. 8991. Magazine issues were 905. Officers elected were:—Patron, the Mayor (Mr G. Manning); president, Mr G. Papps; vicepresidents, Mr I. Calder, Dr. Simpson, Mr G. Basset, Cr. A. Hollander, Cr. H. P. Smith, Cr. R. G. Brown. Cr. T. D. Flint and Mr N. E. Kirk, M.P.; secretarytreasurer, Mr H Nettleton; auditor, Mr G. Shearman; committee. Mesdames E. Ebert. H. Jorgensen. L. Wilkins, M Rossiter, Messrs I. H. Wilson, A. Newport, I. Calder, L. S. Woods, M. Steeds, G. Papps, C. Hindle, F. Hill, K. Rossiter and H. Nettleton.
