SERIES OF THEFTS ADMITTED
Man Gaoled For Nine Months

Details of thefts, false pretence* and credit by fraud committed in Auckland, Te Atatu, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Greymouth. were outlined to Mr G. A. Nicholls, S.M., in the Magistrate* Court at Nelson today, when Lancelot Ural Milner aged 41, • carpet layer, pleaded guilty to 24 charges—six of theft, 13 of false pretences and five of obtaining credit by fraud. Summarising the charges. De-tective-Sergeant A. W. Hedwig said Milner's offences involved money and property amounting to £264 13s lOd.
Milner was convicted on each charge and sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment.
