Traffic Signs For Halswell
The Halswell County Council will ask the Automobile Association to erect warning signs on Sparks road at the Sutherlands road and Hendersons road intersections.
There are slight bends in Sparks road at both intersections. At a previous meeting the council asked the department to inspect the intersection with a view to erecting signs. The department suggested erecting “stop signs” in Sutherlands and Milnes roads, but the council thought these unnecessary.
Pryor Injured.— The Maori All Black and Auckland representative lock forward, A Pryor, injured a tendon in his right ankle on the tour of Samoa and Tonga, and damaged it again on Saturday when he played against Auckland. He is to be operated on shortly and will not play again this season.—(P.A.)
