M.E.D. Capital Estimates
An estimated capital expenditure of £545,159 for the Municipal Electricity Department in 1960-61 was approved by the City Council last evening. Details of the estimated spending were:—Land. £7320; buildings, £69,102; meters and test equipment, £25,611; radio-tele-phone, £1500; aeri-'l distribution. £98.841; ripple control, £27,950; substation plant, £156.068; vehicle and mobile equipment. £24,310; underground distribution. £108,963; street lighting. £19.982; miscellaneous equipment, £5512.
