Professional Staff Salaries
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 23.
Mr J. R. Hanan (Opposition, Invercargill) asked the Prime Minister (Mr Nash) in the House of Representatives today if the Government would increase salaries of all professional staff in the Government service in line with recent increases for university staffs. In a note to the question, Mr Hanan said the Minister of Finance (Mr Nordmeyer) had said he was “appalled’’ at the small margin for skill.
