B.H.P. Cancels Plans
(New Zeaiana Free* Association; WELLINGTON, June 20. The Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Holloway) today confirmed a report that the Broken Hill Proprietary, Ltd., had cancelled its plans for a steel wiredrawing mill at Auckland. It is understood differences over the retail prices of the mill’s products were a principal factor in the cancellation of the plans. The mill was expected to have cost £1,000,000.
