Electrical Com* pany Pty, Ltd, today registered a £400,000 company in Auckland under the name of Amalgamated Wireless (Australasia). N-Z, Ltd. The shares are all held by the parent company, A.WA. and the subsidiary The new Auckland company will act as a pilot company In the manufacture of radio and television components, sets and allied eQ fa f> «dditkm to the registration of the company, ft is understood that an Auckland company Is at present negotiating with Amalgamated Wireless .and that the city company will be taken over within the next few weeks as part of the plans of the Australian concern in the radio and television industry in. this country. The two directors named so far for the new Auckland company are Sir Lionel Hooke, chairman of directors of the parent company, and Mr Ude Aiderton, an Auckland solicitor and former New Zealand High Commissioner in Australia.
