Canterbury And Otago The Otago University fencing team won the men's events convincingly and Canterbury University dominated the women's foil when the two universities met in Christchurch at the week-end. The fencing of the Canterbury women, especially the juniors, has improved since their last match, but the men were still indifferent. M. Sharfe was brilliant in the foil event, winning all his bouts with ease. Results:— Women’s Foil.—C.U. B beat 0.U., 8-7: C.U. A beat 0.U.. 104. Men's Foil.—O.U. beat C.U., 13-4.
