Billy Knight, last surviving Briton in the men's singles, went out fighting to Rod Laver, of Australia, in the quarter-finals of the London lawn tennis championships at Queen’s Club today. Laver won, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4. The New Zealand doubles pair, Lew Gerrard and Mark Otway, lost tn a long three-set match to the Chilean. Luis Ayala and the Australian, Don Candy.
