New Boots
When the All Blacks left for their tour of South Africa, about three-quarters of them were equipped with special light boots —weighing only six ounces—made exclusively for a Christchurch shoe store. Since the tour began, the manager of the store —a former senior player—has received requests for more of the boots 'to be sent. On Thursday there was another cable asking for the light-weight boots to be sent for two more of the players. If the manufacture and air freighting of the boots has been an additional burden on the staff, the work has been done with considerable enthusiasm.
