Severe Droughts In New South Wales
(N.Z. Press Association —Copyright! SYDNEY, June 16. Severe droughts in the far north-west of New South Wales have forced graziers to move an estimated 250,000 starving sheep towards central New South Wales in the last two months. The State Department of Agriculture has declared the existence of 16 drought areas in the far west corner of New South Wales, where graziers are cutting down scrub as emergency feed for their stock.
Pastures pfotection boards in several other districts have applied for recognition of drought conditions in their areas, which entitles graziers in the proclaimed drought areas to rail concessions on fodddr brought in for starving stock. »
