Heavy Frost In City
A frost of 8.6 degrees, the heaviest this winter at the Botanic Gardens, was recorded yesterday morning. It was the sixth frost m successive days and the ninth for the month. At Harewood, the frost was 9.6 degrees and the tenth of the month. The frost froze water left on the roads when the fog of Thursday night lifted between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. yesterday, making road conditions very slippery. City Council workmen put fine gravel on the shady parts of the road around the Avon river, where road conditions were worst.
