Corament In Moscow
MOSCOW, June 17.
Moscow Radio described the concellation of President Eisenhower’s visit to Japan as “a crushing blow at United States prestige.”
The people were dancing in the streets of Tokyo, reported the news agency, Tass. It called the cancellation “a great victory of the people over the Americans.”
“A great and well-deserved blow at United States prestige, said the newspaper “Isvestia.” “On his (Eisenhower’s) hands is the blood of those Japanese lying before the Parliament Building in Tokyo.”
Peking Radio called the postponement “a victory for the Japanese people’s just and patriotic struggle.”
