Generally there were smaller yardlngs in the fat and store sections of the Tinwald stock market on Tuesday Values in the fat section tended to be dearer
A medium yarding of fat sheep met keen competition and values were generally improved. Quality over all appeared better than of recent weeks. Prime two-tooth wethers realised up to 84s Id. In the store sheep section the market was sound with only a few pens of good quality wether lambs offering. There was a definite improvement in the quality of ewe lambs, with a pen of well-bred Romney ewe lambs making up to 635. The market for older ewes continued to hold firm and most of the entry was of a good useful type Values were as follows: Fat Sheep.—Prime two tooth wethers. 75s Id to 85s Id; medium twotooth wethers. 62s Id to 70s Id; maiden ewe*. «4s Id to 72s Id; ewes. 28s Id tc 36s Id
Store Sheep —Good weather lambs 34s to 38s, medium wether lambs. 22s to 28s; ewe lambs. 45s to 635: two-tooth ewes. 41s to 48s; adult ewes. 30s to 50s
