NEW BUILDING BY 1964
Teachers’ College At Hamilton (New Zealand Press Association) HAMILTON, June 15. It was hoped to have a permanent Hamilton teachers’ college on its new site at the beginning of 1963--at any rate no later than 1964, said the Minister of Education (Mr Skoglund) when he officially opened the college today. The college opened partially in a new secondary school block at Melville at the beginning of this year. “This district poses more and more problems in the field of education than any other in New Zealand because the population is growing at a tremendous rate,” he said.
