FOUNDATION FOR THE BLIND
Voluntary Services Merged
“It is felt that the time has arrived when the voluntary services should be merged into one entity,” said Mr G. F. C. Ashdowne, manager of the Christchurch branch of the New Zealand Foundation for the Blind, at a meeting of the foundation held recently. ' k It was unanimously resolved that those present should form themselves into what will be known as "Auxiliary to the Christchurch branch of the New Zealand , Foundation for the Blind.” Officers elected were:—President, Mr F. Walker; secretary, Mrs E. Stem; chairman, Miss M. B. Keith; committee, driving and escorting section, Mrs B. Collins, Mrs D. Hollander; sewing section, Mrs H. F. Keith; writing section, Mr J. Physick; reading section, Mr T. E. Turner, Mr H. S. Cordery. Further volunteers for the driving and reading sections would be welcomed.
