Ten Directors Named
The directors of the new company are:—
Sir Walter Mulholland, Messrs L. A. D. Sherriff, John Andrew, John D. G. Duncan and P. S. Plummer (representing the Meat Board), and Messrs R. D Iles (Canterbury Frozen Meat Company, Ltd.), W. M. Cleland (New Zealand Refrigerating Company, Ltd), V. S. Vial (Southland Froz n Meat and Produce Export Company, Ltd), L. A? Cameron 'Gear Meat Company, Ltd), N A. Thomson (Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Company, Ltd). Of the Meat Board directors, Sir Walter Mulholland and Messrs Sherriff and Andrew are
Meat Board members. Mr Duncan is a well-known Wellington businessman. He is chairman of directors of Levin and Company, Ltd., a director of the Bank of New Zealand, chairman of the New Zealand board of the A.M.P. Society, and a member of the principal board of the A.M.P in Sydney Mr Plummer, a farmer, of Waipawi. Hawke’s Bay, is chairman of the Dominion meat and wool section of Federated Farmers and a director of the East Coast Farmers’ Fertiliser Company, Ltd. The members of the New Zea-land-owned freezing works association who are the initial shareholders of the company are: The Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Company. Ltd.. R. and W. Hellaby, Ltd., the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company. Ltd., the New Zealand Refrigerating Company. Ltd., the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Meat Company, Ltd., the Gear Meat Company, Ltd., the Nelson Freezing Company. Ltd., the Waitaki Farmers’ Freezing Company, Ltd., the South Otago Freezing Company, Ltd., the Southland Frozen Meat and Produce Export Company, Ltd., and the Alliance Freezing Company (Southland). Ltd.
