Inter-Club Badminton

Five grades will be played this year in the Canterbury Badminton Association’s Inter-club competitions. The competitions will start on June 13, and will be played each week. The grades to be played will be A. B. C. and D, and the president’s grade, which was such a success when first played last season. The A reserve grade, also started last season, has been abandoned. The main change in the competitions this season has been that players in the A grade teams will play one set only, instead of three-set matches as previously. Matches in this grade will now be the same as in the B. C and D grades—one set to 15 in men’s singles and all doubles matches, and one set to 11 in women’s singles. Also, the A grade teams will now be of four men and four women, instead of two of each as previously. Teams which have entered in the A grade are Christchurch?
