LOCAL BODIES’ STRUCTURE
Report Expected By Late July I (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 3. The next meeting of members of the Parliamentary Local Bills Committee which has been conducting an inquiry into the local body structure of New Zealand will be on June 29. This was announced today by the chairman of the committee (Mr H. J. L May. M.P.). who said that the committee hoped to present its reoort to Parliament within the 28-day period after the opening of the next session. Mr May said he felt the committee had made a good deal of progress with the problems before it Between now and the compilation of the report members still had to deliberate on several matters which arose from the weight of evidence presented during the public bearings.
