New Accommodation Ratio For Hotels
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 3.
New maximum charges for hotel accommodation were gazetted last night. The daily rates are. with effect from today) Five-star, 455: four-star plus. 41s 6d: four-star. 40s: three-star plus 38s; three-star. 34s 6d; twostar.’ 30s 6d; one-star. 275; ungraded. 245. ! Provision is made for additional charges for exclusive use of bathrooms. the use of suites, and services. There are also small variations in the maximum prices for special reasons in some cases.
The charges apply to adults and children •10 years and over. There .r no charge for children under two. For those over two and under five, the charge is one-quarter, and for those five and under 10. pne-half.
